Introduction

Kumagaya Nishi Elementary School （熊谷西小学校） is a public school for children aged six years to eleven years (1st-year to 6th-year). Now (Jan '99), 889 children are enrolled, supported by 40 staff members.
Our school was founded in 1873 by the reformation of the law. But was re-established as "Kumagaya Nishi Elementary School" in 1947.

Our school follows the national regular education curriculum.

Kumagaya is located in northern of Saitama. It takes about 40 minutes from Tokyo to Kumagaya by the Sinkansen train. Our school is located in town, surrounded by many houses and stores.
